One of the most anticipated, and probably also one of the most box office selling movie last year was “Deadpool” which was released more than a year ago on Feb. 10. Finally, after month of waiting, details are starting to slowly reveal the status of “Deadpool 2.”

Even before “Deadpool” became a blockbuster hit, the people from FOX had already given the go signal to make “Deadpool 2” into a reality. The original writers of the first movie, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are currently working on the script for the movie’s sequel.

Although little is know with regards to the production of the movie, what was known so far is that the current working title for the second movie is “Love Machine.” Also, the movie’s set will be based in Vancouver and will start filming on May 1.

The second “Deadpool” movie will introduce a new director for the project. Co-director of the first “John Wick” movie, David Leitch, will replace the former “Deadpool” director, Tim Miller, who decided to exit the sequel project due to “creative differences” between him and actor Ryan Reynolds and FOX Studios.

Apart from the new director, the upcoming comedy-action movie will introduce some possible new faces as well. The casting team are still looking for possible candidates for the roles of Nathan Summers, who is more famously known as Cable, and Neena Thurman, also known as Domino.

It is speculated that one of the candidate for the role of Cable would be Pierce Brosnan. Although there are other actors like “Avatar’s” Stephen Lang, “Bloodline’s” Kyle Chandler and “Hellboy’s” Ron Perlman who would want to play the role, it appears that Brosnan will be the dark horse of this competition.

After the news that the “007” actor might be an eligible candidate, fan art specialist BossLogic conceptualised his idea of what Brosnan could look like as Cable. The said fan art was then commissioned by ComicBook, according to MovieWeb.

Another hint that was given was a quick meeting among Reynolds, “Logan’s” Hugh Jackman and “007’s” Brosnan. The three of them were seen in a photo with Brosnan sporting his silver-shaded hair, which is strikingly similar to that of Cable’s. Furthermore, these photos were both uploaded by Reynolds and Jackman on their own social media accounts.

As for the role of Domino, “Scandal” lead actress Kerry Washington has been reported to be testing for the role. This was after actresses Sienna Miller of “Alfie” and Gugu Mbatha-Raw of “Belle” have taken a pass on the part.

FOX Studios has not yet finalised a release date for “Deadpool 2.” But if the production and filming would start on May, it would mean that the movie having its release date by 2018 would be a huge possibility.
