'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Jan. 5: Suspicions, betrayal and unexpected news hound Salem
Drama continues to escalate on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Thursday, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is heartbroken when she’s kept away from Holly. While she doesn’t know the exact reason, she has become fond of the baby. Spoilers suggest that soon enough, Nicole will find out why: it’s because Holly is actually her daughter.
Speaking of secrets, Theo (Kyler Pettis) and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) continue to be determined in finding out whatever Valerie (Vanessa Williams) is hiding. Despite being confronted by Valerie over the bug, Theo refuses to give up searching for the truth. Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Jan. 5 installment include Kate (Lauren Koslow), Eduardo (A Martinez), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) and Nancy (Patrika Darbo).

TV Guide reports that on Thursday’s run of “DOOL,” Kate feels conflicted and mulls over betraying Eduardo. Theo and Claire, on the other hand, grow more suspicious that Valerie is up to something when they hear her talking to someone. Meanwhile, Nicole is devastated when she becomes separated from Chloe’s baby. Elsewhere, Brady receives Holly’s DNA test results that would determine who her real parents are.

In the previous episode, Nicole offered to babysit Holly but Nancy refused to let her. Nicole told Deimos about it, and he shared this with Brady. Brady volunteered to talk to Nancy to find out the truth. He went to Salem Inn, and when Nancy took a shower, he took a sample of Holly’s saliva. Later, Nancy noticed that Brady seemed nervous and she decided to search his coat pockets. She found the swab, and realising that he’s up to something, switched the swab with her own.
Elsewhere, Marlena (Deidre Hall), Paul (Christopher Sean) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) found out that Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) has been spotted again. Rafe (Galen Gering) received orders to fly to Prague to search for Stefano. He visited Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and promised to bring Stefano with him. Steve (Stephen Nichols), after being persuaded by Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Joey (James Lastovic), decided to follow Rafe to Prague.
