Thank the high heavens for genetics. The power couple of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham appear to continue the prestigious soccer career of the father as their son Brooklyn Beckham appears on his way to come on his own as a player. The 15-year-old protege has a handshake agreement with Arsenal to join the developmental program of the club by the time he turns 16 in March 2015.

According to ITV News, the son of the former LA Galaxy player has been training with the Gunner's youth team at the Hale End Academy in Walthamstow. However, no confirmation of the signing has been admitted by Arsenal, given that clubs are prohibited to sign players under 17. He is believed to take up a scholarship program that will enable him to pursue his dream of following his father's footsteps as a striker once he turns 16.

David Beckham's former clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea, also expressed interest to snatch up the eldest son of the couple, but Arsenal won out in the end. Brooklyn is a self-declared Arsenal fan and continues to train with team and even plays for the under-16 team. While his dad did not join the club, the legendary British sensation train with the team last January before he moved to Paris St.Germain. His other siblings, Cruz and Romeo have also shown interest in the sport as the both under-10 players played for Arsenal last year with Romeo getting some attention with his impressive pouting for the North London squad.

Brooklyn previously honed his skills with other soccer teams such as Manchester, Chelsean, Fulham and QPR and is being projected by betting sites at a 14/1 odds of making the English Premier League. While he has shown flashes of talent as a striker, Brooklyn is a skilled right winger who has a nice pace and accurate passing skills. He is not the only son of a celebrity who is taking the same path to football stardom. Jose Moruinho's son Jose Mario was also signed on by Fulham after moving from real Madrid with his father.
