“Dancing With The Stars” host Amanda Byram has shared that she is happy with her role as a presenter, but would never wish to be one of the contestants in the Irish reality television series. She said the primary reason she does not want to compete with other celebrity guests is to avoid making a fool out of herself.

Byram said when it comes to the dance floor, her skills are lacking. "I may have said no because I can't dance and I didn't want to make a fool out of myself," she told the Diary.

Byram’s career on television started in 1999 and remained in the public eye across Ireland, the UK and Australia. In a conversation with RTE, she has shared that one of her top life hacks is to stress less.

Meanwhile, Byram’s co-host Nicky Byrne has also recently talked about the show, saying the contestants will be dealing with some exhaustive training, but the real test is to maintain a positive vibe. Byrne said they need to be prepared for a big show.

The “Westlife” star said the pressure brought by constant judgement and learning steps can build week after week. “I mean the fitness will come because they're going to be dancing five days a week so they'll get muscles on their muscles but certainly from a mental point of view they need to be prepared for a big show,” Byrne told RTE.

“Dancing with the Stars” lineup this year includes sports broadcaster Des Cahill, comedian Katherine Lynch, weight loss expert Dr. Eva Orsmond and model Thalia Heffernan. Kerry footballer Aidan O’Mahony, RTÉ reporter Teresa Mannion, HomeTown's Dayl Cronin, Big Brother's Hughie Maughan, former Fair City actress Aoibhín Garrihy, Red Rock's Denise McCormack and comedian Des Bishop are also competing to be a “Dancing with the Stars” winner.

The show airs in Europe on Sundays on RTÉ One. Fans can also catch “Dancing with the Stars” online at www.rte.ie.
