“Dance Moms” star Abby Lee Miller has been snubbed by her former student, Maddie Ziegler, in the latter’s tell-all book. In her book, Ziegler expressed criticism towards the show for all the “drama” that is involved in it, including being under the public eye throughout the show.

“I’d be overwhelmed by the amount of work on my plate. Sia always tells me you have to have time off, step back and appreciate the moment,” she added. As for “Dance Moms,” she criticised how camera men always followed her around when she was eight years old. She admitted that she did not want all the drama and only wanted to dance. But Miller is not one who would be silent about it as she fought back on social media.

Instead of urging her fans to patronise the book of Ziegler, she encouraged her followers on Twitter to check out her “favourite student,” Mackenzie Sol. She also expressed support for the current projects of her “protégé,” Mark Myars.

Miller also praised Kendall Vertes, Gianna Martello, Kalani Hilliker and Nia Sioux. She said they were all looking “beautiful” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. One of Miller’s followers has not failed to notice that she did not include Ziegler in her tweet although she also attended the awards show.

“What about Maddie? Abby where’s Maddie? Why isn’t she one of your girls anymore? It’s so sad how people [have] changed,” one of her followers wrote.

The social media snub displayed by Miller against her former student comes after Ziegler chose to not mention her in her new book, “The Maddie Diaries: A Memoir.” Instead, she has praised singer Sia, her new mentor, through the book.

“Before I met [Sia], I would say yes to a lot of things I didn’t want to do,” Ziegler wrote in her book as quoted by Radar Online. She admitted that she said yes to everything in order to please everyone.

Ziegler went on to say that she only watched one episode of the show since it began. “I don't love watching myself. I've lived through it, why do I need to watch it happen all over again?” she wrote in her book.

From 2014 to 2016, Ziegler has been part of five music videos by Sia, which includes “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart.” Her fame started at a young age of 8, when she appeared in Lifetime channel's “Dance Moms” in 2011.
