The big move of “Supergirl” from CBS to The CW has been fuelling speculations of more crossover episodes with the latter network’s superhero shows in the past weeks. Now, the details are forming and, indeed, a crossover episode possibly titled “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is coming.

The CW currently houses four superhero shows. Its 2016-2017 fall slate is said to be filled with geeky goodness as “Supergirl,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Arrow” and “The Flash” are expected to interact with each other, according to an article on Den of Geek .

Mark Pedowitz, The CW’s president, declined to give out spoilers and additional details on the expected mash-up. However, he promises that the planning phase is underway for the the network’s Big 4. In a conference call with reporters last Thursday, Pedowitz conveyed his assurance that producers, led by Greg Berlanti, are working on the project. He also said that the annual crossover this fall will become the biggest one, Variety reports.

He also joked with the reporters about the probability of “Supergirl” having some interaction with “Jane the Virgin,” her Monday night neighbour. He further teased that more superhero crossovers would be bigger come December.

Pedowitz noted that “Supergirl” is where it should have been to begin with. The network is making big plans in promoting the show and is projecting it to be in its list of top most-viewed series, particularly in the first three spots. The network believes that the show would also bring some viewers from CBS and generate new ones from their other housed superhero programs.

When questioned about the creative changes in the show, Pedowitz assured that there would be no major changes. Fans were reportedly worried that moving the production to Vancouver to reduce production cost would affect the show’s quality. Moreover, it was rumoured that Calista Flockhart, who plays Cat Grant, would stop appearing. Pedowitz added that the producers are having a progressive discussion with Flockhart, who still wants to stay on the show.

With the addition of “Supergirl” to The CW’s lineup, schedule changes have been announced. The CW’s fall schedule is as follows:

(Monday) 8:00-9:00 Supergirl, 9:00-10:00 Jane the Virgin;
