Tom Cruise hit the red carpet on Wednesday for the world premiere of the fourth Mission Impossible film in which he performed his most daring stunt yet. "Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol" is filmed for the most part in Dubai.

As any person watching the movie might surmise, it's because the movie makes good use of its high-rise buildings including Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower at 828 meters (2,716 feet).

In a particularly adrenaline pumping scene, Cruise, whose spy team is blamed for blowing up the Kremlin, embark on extremely testosterone fueled acrobatics around the summit of the building.

"It's one thing seeing it and another thing trying to accomplish that... The first moment, you know I have one little pick here and one little rope. I remember just being there saying 'this is a moment of truth'," Cruise told reporters.

For those not fans of the superstar, it has been long known that the actor has a penchant for performing his own death defying stunts.

"I had to figure out how to fly. I had to figure out how to use my feet as a rudder because you have crosswinds up there. It took a while to work out how not to come slamming into the building head first. I was very excited because I thought it would be very entertaining for an audience and very challenging, and so that's why I did it," The 49-year-old explained his decision to the press.

Paramount Pictures, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc., decided on the Dubai International Film Festival in the Middle East for the revealing of the latest episode of a franchise that has grossed over $2 billion worldwide. A fitting choice as the movie does not only showcase the lavish landscape of Dubai, it is also expected to top box office charts across the world.
