“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” season 3 will see Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) giving up on her obsession over Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III). It has also been learnt that she is now determined to seek her revenge upon Josh who had left her stranded by the altar in the previous season.

The series’ second season ended on Feb 3. The last line of the finale said, “Josh Chan must be destroyed.” Apparently, Rebecca must have had a change of heart. Nonetheless, it is once again bad news for Josh.

So while fans wait in anticipation for season 3 news, here’s what series co-creators Aline Brosh McKenna and Rachel Bloom share about the show’s lead character, Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom). “I think it was in our original pilot pitch ... psychologically speaking, hating someone is the same as loving them.” Aline said, per TVLine. “Because the opposite of love is apathy. It's not hatred. It's the flip side of an obsession,” she added. “So yeah, we knew that pretty early on.”

The creators further hinted at the prospect of a totally madcap Rebecca fans will get to see. It’s being said that Bloom’s character will be seen obsessed over seeking revenge upon Josh.

"So we'll see. The town and everyone knows that she is now someone who has been left at the altar,” McKenna said further. “A new persona leaps into [Rebecca's] mind and it's the scorned woman."

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” season 3 will have Spice Girls-like song performance carried out by the actress and her girl squad, Bloom had revealed. The songs have been intended to commemorate Rebecca finding her goal for revenge. “We leave the season with the underscore of 'Villain of My Own Story,'" Bloom said, per E! Online. “Rebecca's now like, 'OK, I'm going full crazy ex-girlfriend,'" and then the question is how successful is that? What does that look like on her? Is she a villain? Can she be a villain?” the actress added.

Per Starz Post, the actress also said that there are still things that are currently in talks, adding that the upcoming season has been crafted to be super dynamic. Details about the same remain unclear. Bloom further said that the show will feature a lot of things they wanted to do.

The show ranks amongst the 50 Best TV Comedies on Netflix. It is also among Netflix's 50 Best TV Shows. The show’s award-winning star Rachel Bloom was nominated again for best performance at 2017 Globes Globes Award. Bloom previously won Best Actress (Television Series Musical or Comedy) at the 2016 Golden Globes.

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” season 3 release date has not been announced yet. The previous two seasons are meanwhile available for streaming on Netflix.
