This episode was about Annie's trip to Istanbul, Turkey to learn more about Aleksandre Belenko's (Shawn Doyle) plans. Read on for the "Covert Affairs" Season 5 recap of episode 11 "Trigger Cut" to find out what happened to Annie and company.

Here's what happened in "Covert Affairs" Season 5, episode 11 "Trigger Cut." Annie is still trying to get to the bottom of things about the whole Belenko and Chicago bombing. She is the only one who can pursue him right now because he has diplomatic immunity. That's why when Arthur (Peter Gallagher) found out from Caitlyn Cook's (Perrey Reeves) diary that she was supposed to meet a mysterious person referred to as "Q" and that the meeting place was in Istanbul, Turkey, Annie had to go there to check it out. Once in Istanbul, Annie discovered that "Q" is Qabbani, a terrorist arms merchant. She also found out that one of Belenko's men was in a meeting with Qabbani.

Annie was able to corner Qabbani, but Eyal Lavin (Oded Fehr) suddenly arrived and killed "Q" just as he was about to divulge to Annie what was it that Belenko wanted from him. Eyal proceeded to help Annie discover what Belenko is really up to. Unfortunately, they didn't find anything useful.

After her Turkey trip, Annie went back to Ryan (Nic Bishop) in Washington. Thankfully, he is now conscious after being shot in the previous episode. Auggie (Christophe Gorham) was also there at the hospital because his friend Tony died. It looks like Tony's death was due to alcohol poisoning.

Also, Calder Michaels' (Hill Harper) girl Stephanie/Sydney helped the Central Intelligence Agency, or CIA to tap the phone of Mashkov (Daniel Kash), her Russian embassy client. But, she refused her payment afterwards, even after she demanded a higher than usual rate before.
