It is often said that behind every successful man is woman. Well, this is the case for actor Ben Affleck as he attended the 2013 BAFTA Awards at the Royal Opera House in London, England with wife Jennifer Garner and won the "Best Film" and "Best Director" awards for the film "Argo."

Though the couple arrived separately at the red carpet, Ben and Jennifer still dazzled the audience with their appearance. Ben Affleck looked dapper in a suit while Jennifer Garner stunned in a Rouland Mouret. The couple reunited inside to participate in the award-giving ceremony.

During the prestigious event, Ben Affleck managed to squeeze some bonding time with actors George Clooney and Bradley Cooper. George Clooney is the film producer partner of Ben Affleck for "Argo" and the duo has been receiving recognition for their work with awards from the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The success of the film at the BAFTA's could mean another upcoming triumph for "Argo" at the 85th Academy Awards on February 24. The other "Best Film" nominees that "Argo" defeated at the 2013 BAFTA Awards are "Les Miserables," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln" and "Zero Dark Thirty."

"I want to say this is a second act for me and you've given me that, this industry has given me that and I want to thank you and I'm so grateful and proud," Affleck stated as he received the "Best Director" award from English actor Sir Ian McKellen.

As Ben Affleck received his second win for the night which is the "Best Film" award, the 40-year-old actor said to the crowd: "I was talking to people from the studio and they were like 'We never win!' so this really is the most incredible surprise."
