Conor McGregor stole the show at Monday's "The Time is Now" press conference sponsored by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. While Dana White held off from making specific calendared fights for 2015 and just declared that matchmaking would fall in the hands of the fighter, "Notorious" was busy burning bridges and putting the organization in a bad light.

The controversial Irish featherweight was against the subject of a controversial tweet after he posted the words, "Kiss them feet Nazi" accompanied by a photo of him and Denis Siver is a stand-off. The picture was immediately deleted and McGregor immediately issued an apology.

This is not the first time that the gutsy fighter has had some trouble due to emblazoned tweets. Just a few months ago, he answered a loaded question by a fan who asked him who he preferred to bed between Meisha Tate and Ronda Rousey by picturing a threesome with the attractive female talents. He also went ahead and challenged a bout in a higher weight class without the sanction of White. Now, he is referring to his upcoming German opponent with a controversial label even though Siver was actually raised in Russia.

McGregor is scheduled to be seen next at UFC Boston's Fight Night event on Jan. 18 against Siver in what would be a precursor to his continued rise in the outfit. While the trash-talking prodigy has silenced most critics with his successive wins over Diego Brandao and Dustin Poirier, many are still sceptical if he is worthy of a title shot this early in his career.

Head honcho Dana White thinks otherwise and went as much as declaring that the Irishman will be eligible for a title match if he disposes of his opponent in impressive fashion. McGregor is being lined up to be the next in line for reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo as a potential next fight.

"Then you have [featherweight contender] Connor McGregor," said White via MMA fighting. "Everybody has been talking about Conor McGregor. This kid burst onto the scene and if he wins in Boston, and that fight is live and free on FOX Sports 1, if he wins that fight in Boston we could be talking about a big fight with [featherweight champion] Jose Aldo."
