Ever since the time travelling Starz TV series “Outlander” went on air, there has been a lot of interest in exploring the sights and sounds of Scotland. There are many tour agencies that specifically offer tours that let the fans explore the locations seen on the show. Now, a company is offering the fans a chance to go exploring for free.

After watching the show or reading the books, women across the globe have wondered what it would be like to go through the magical stones of Craig Na Dun and meet people from another time period. Many single ladies would like to meet their Jamie in real life, but they are currently managing by watching Sam Heughan play his role on the show.

A company in Scotland is having a contest that lets the fans use their imagination. To win a 3-day tour, all they have to do is imagine what it would be like to cross the magical stones, and think about the first thing they would say after crossing over. Those first words have to be posted as a comment on this Facebook post. Contestants also need to like and share the post in order to be eligible to win.

The contest is giving bonus points for originality, so comments like “I’m a Sassenach looking for my Jamie” may not cut it. The winner of this contest will be announced on the 23rd of this month.

The three day tour lets the fans explore some of the iconic locations of the TV series such as Doune Castle that stands in for Castle Leoch, Culross (village of Cranesmuir), Falkland (1940s Inverness), Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness, Glencoe and Highland Folk Museum (Mackenzie Village).

The “Outlander” tour also includes a Scottish guide, who may be able to better explain these historic locations. The fans will also get a souvenir map that they can carry back home to remember the tour.
