The "X-Factor" UK is going big this year for its finale on Dec. 12 – 13, with Coldplay confirmed to perform in the event alongside "X-Factor" alumni One Direction. Meanwhile, Adele is also reportedly being roped in to perform at the event.

The confirmation that Coldplay and One Direction will grace the event came from TV3, which will broadcast the show exclusively.

Coldplay is poised to take the stage at the Wembley Arena to perform a song from their latest album, “A Head full of Dreams,” which is set to roll out on Dec. 4 while One Direction will sing a track off “Made in the A.M.”

Adele, who recently broke records with the release of her sophomore album, 25, is touted to be a huge draw for the show which is why producers are reportedly pulling all the stops to have her perform at the finale.

Huffington Post reports that the "X-Factor" is not the only party interested to sign Adele. “Strictly Come Dancing” is the other party who is in a tug-of-war with the singing competition.

In a separate interview with Kiss FM’s Breakfast Show, Adele has been asked about the possibility of performing a duet with one of the X-Factor’s contestants.

"Well it would depend who’s in the final," Adele said. "It depends who’s in it. If they’re rubbish then no, I won’t."

Recalling a similar situation back in 2012, she added, “There was Ella Henderson I used to like, but she didn’t make it at the time. I mean I was pregnant, so I wouldn’t have done it, but if she was in it this year and she was in the final I would probably do it with her.”
