Taras Kulakov, a Russian man that goes by the YouTube user name Crazy Russian Hacker, posted a video about how Coke turns into a thick sugary sludge after being boiled down. Though many health-conscious individuals already know what is inside the carbonated soda drink, the Russian scientist decided to show viewers how much sugar a small bottle of Coke contains by boiling it.

The Russian man who made the experiment might have just created one of the most convincing anti-soda promotions ever, according to Global Post. Health advocate groups and individuals worldwide had been making hundreds and thousands of fact sheets, plugs, and commercials about the negative effects of drinking sugary beverages like sodas.

In the video, when the soda was boiled, the water evaporates away and leaves a thick and gooey black sludge. Kulakov emphasised that the boiled caramel-like substance is what goes inside everyone's stomachs when they drink coke or any kind of soda. According to Coke's nutrition facts, one 16 ounce bottle contains 44 grams of sugar and one large cup in fast food standard size contains 65 grams of sugar.

There also had been made numerous soda home-made experiments that showed interesting results in the past. There was an experiment where some students placed a dirty old coin in a container filled with Coke. The next day when they checked on the results, they were awed at the shiny coin that was immersed in the Coke-filled container.

Many years ago, there had been countless people who experimented on dropping a Mentos in a Diet Coke bottle, that results in a bursting fountain of soda.

The American Heart Association Meeting Report wrote in 2013 that there are about 180,000 deaths worldwide every year caused by drinking sugary beverages. 25,000 of those deaths were recorded from the United States. If individuals who got used to drinking sodas can't help it, American Heart Association recommends consuming only 450 calories of sugar-sweetened drinks per week.
