Cody Simpson admitted that it could get really annoying to be with famous personalities, Selena Gomez in particular. He also said that he and ex girlfriend Gigi Hadid do not have any drama going on.

Speaking with E News at the Ralph Lauren Polo presentation in New York City earlier today, the musician claimed that hanging out with the former Disney star can be annoying, not because Selena is tiresome, but because of the speculations that can result with them being spotted together. He said that he does not really hang out with celebrities or A-list figures on an everyday basis and most of his friends are average Joes.

"All my close friends are normal dudes and then I will hang out with some girl who is a musician and everyone thinks that's what it's all about,” he said. He clarified that he is friendly with everyone. It can be remembered that rumours sparked of him and Selena dating when the actress singer posted a picture of them having ice cream together on one particularly hot day. Selena captioned the photo stating how much she loves summer.

Apart from talking about Selena, he also shared his current status with ex-girlfriend Gigi. Contrary to what is expected, Cody said there is no bad blood between him and the model. This is the case even though there are already rumours of Gigi and Joe Jonas starting to date. "It's all cool, like we have all mutual friends and stuff in New York," the crooner shared with E News. He said he is “cool” about it. He also said he strives to remain “impartial” on the whole situation.

This runs contrast to reports stating Cody is not comfortable talking about and working with Joe Jonas. TMZ reports that when one of their reporters asked Cody if he would ever try to work with Joe, the pop star was a bit miffed. He asked the cameraman why he would even ask that and jokingly told the paparazzi to go away. Cody’s friend allegedly said the question is a mean one.
