There is no dearth of torture tests in the tech world to evaluate new devices. However, there are few users who are willing to test their expensive handsets in unimaginable ways. The latest victim to the "Coca-Cola Torture Test" is none-other-than the Apple iPhone 6.

When the iPhone 6 got released, many torture tests proved the handset to be worthy and effective. On the other hand, there were #bendgate and #hairgate problems the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus endured. But now, it is time for the Coca-Cola Torture Test to steal the limelight by YouTube channel Tech Rax via Phone Arena.

Going by the video, the tester boils the coke in a sauce pan and he lets it boil for a couple of minutes, until the water evaporates. Thereby, the gooey and syrupy semi-solid mass is left boiling in the pan. And then, he unlocks his brand new Apple iPhone 6 and navigates to the camera app and selects the record option. Eventually, he drops the iPhone 6 into the boiling coke and allows the device to sink slowly. After a couple of minutes, he flips the iPhone 6 over and over again to make sure the handset is fully coated with the gooey mass.

Within a couple of seconds, he moves the handset to the side of the pan and viewers can clearly see the cherry red discoloration on the sides of the handset. The iPhone boils further with the coke and finally, he turns the heat off, when the mass turns into a pitch-dark, charcoal-like consistency.

After which, when he tried to remove the iPhone 6 from the gooey mess, the handset suddenly fumes inside out and a truck load of yellow fumes come out of the pan. Most probably, the internals got burned at that moment. He successfully takes the handset out of the pan during the second attempt and viewers can see the coke solidified over the pricey iPhone 6.

Meanwhile, the tester apparently scratched and removed all the solidified coke out of the device and he tried switching it back on. Did the iPhone 6 work? Were the buttons intact after this insane experimentation? Was he able to log in? To know the answer to all the aforesaid questions, readers should watch the video. Nonetheless, he did conclude the video by saying, "Beautiful iPhone, I love it."
