The distillation of the time spent among Pittsburgh's down-and-out steel mill borough of Braddock's working-class single-family homes and rusted-out iron furnaces along the Monongahela River has delivered the elements director Scott Cooper needed for "Out of the Furnace" - a tale of brothers and revenge. The production recently wrapped up on "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and currently, it is in the post-production stage. The new movie, which is scheduled to release worldwide in 2016, will see Henry Cavill playing Superman while Ben Affleck is portraying the character of Batman. Fans of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy, however, continue to wonder why Christian Bale did not sign on to reprise his role as the caped crusader in the much anticipated, new movie.

IGN reports that during a recent interview with the actor, they asked Bale how he felt seeing Christopher Nolan's version of Batman appearing in other movies and whether he thought that there was more for him to "mine" in the iconic character. Bale said that "The Dark Knight" is "a character that could have kept on going and going and going," but added that "it was right for Chris to finish it where he did." Also, he said that his and Nolan's Batman "doesn't belong in any other version at all."

Earlier, in an interview with Empire Magazine, the actor admitted that he is jealous that Affleck gets to play Batman. Bale recalled his reaction when he first heard that another actor is playing Batman."When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour," he said.

According to Tribute, rumours have circulated that Christian Bale was offered around $60 million by Warner Bros. to reprise his role as Batman. However, the actor revealed in an interview with Esquire that the studio never approached him and offered the role. He claimed that one of the reasons why he will not play the role of "The Dark Knight" again is that it requires a lot of fight choreography. "Batman ...Man I'm sick of that! You've done it 100 times and you're just getting slower and slower, and sloppier and people are really starting to punch you," he said to the publication.

Nolan directed "The Dark Knight" Trilogy includes "Batman Begins" (2005), "The Dark Knight" (2008) and "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012). In these movies, Bale plays the role of Bruce Wayne who fights crime during the night as Batman. Notable villains of this trilogy are Scarecrow played by Cillian Murphy, Ra's Al Ghul played by Liam Neeson, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent a-k-a Two Face, Heath Ledger as The Joker, Marion Cotillard as Talia Al Ghul and Tom Hardy as Bane.
