“Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt, who will reprise his role as Star Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” recalled his conversation with James Gunn about the sequel. The actor only had nice words to say about the director and even admitted to feeling a bit emotional during their conversation.

Prior to his interview with GQ magazine about his contract with Marvel, Chris Pratt revealed that he just got out of a briefing with movie director James Gunn about “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” The actor, who also stars in the much-anticipated “Jurassic World” sequel, revealed how he got emotional during his talk with Gunn.

“I got teary-eyed," he said. "He's so f***ing smart and peculiar,” Pratt added.

Chris Pratt however didn’t reveal any specific details about his conversation with James Gunn on “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” The actor likewise admitted that the director declined to give him the whole movie plot. "He just knows me too well to tell me too much,” Pratt said.

In the same GQ interview, Chris Pratt also revealed his contract with Marvel. “I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple,” he said. Aside from “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” per Comicbook.com the actor is also expected to appear in the two-part film “Avengers: Infinity War” to help the Avengers battle Thanos (James Brolin). There are also talks about the actor starring in a spinoff film to introduce Star Lord to other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It would also be interesting to see Chris Pratt reprise his role as Star Lord in “Doctor Strange” or “Captain Marvel.” However, per Screenrant his involvement in these movies will have fans raising their eyebrows. It’s still uncertain what other films in the MCU, Pratt will likely appear. The Phase 3 films reportedly focus on the Earth-bound heroes without any implications for the Guardians. While some of the movies supposedly also focus on the introduction of new Marvel characters into the MCU. A “Guardians of the Galaxy” crossover is also still uncertain at this point. So it remains to be seen how far Chris Pratt’s contract with Marvel goes. To report problems or leave feedback on this article, email: t.diente@ibtimes.com.au
