Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sent out a warning that clubs wanting to sign Petr Cech would run the risk of having their own stars snatched away from them.

The Blues goalkeeper is apparently not happy with life at Stamford Bridge, playing second-fiddle to Thibaut Courtois, featuring only 16 times in all competitions in the recently concluded season. At the start of the 2014-15 term, it still was not clear whether the returnee Courtois, who enjoyed a successful spell at Atletico Madrid, was ready to succeed the 33-year-old.

However, disaster went Cech's way after he hurt his knee during the close season that sidelined him for about three months. Courtois was then handed the responsibility of being first-choice shot-stopper, gaining the trust of Mourinho, while Cech was left on the sidelines even after he had recovered from his injury.

Arsenal and Manchester United are, among other clubs, linked with the former Rennes man, But the "Special One" does not like the idea of strengthening local rivals and would like to keep the status quo, after leading Chelsea to its first Premier League title since 2009-10.

"I have the same respect for Petr that everybody at the club has, but my answer [to a proposed move to Arsenal] would be: ‘No way.’ If the answer is different I will accept that. But at every club that is interested in Petr I can find a player that I like in that team, too," Mourinho told the Guardian.

Meanwhile, Cech is optimistic that an agreement between him and club can be reached amicably insofar as his departure is concerned.

“First I have to agree with the club what the conditions would be for leaving,” said Cech.

"“Next week we will have a meeting with Chelsea. At the moment it is with my agent. When it is clearer and all the cards are on the table, we will decide. I believe that for what I have done for the club and what the club has done for me, we can arrange it so we are all happy."
