Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic revealed that if star striker Diego Costa would want to have a better influence on the team, he should brush up on his "English."

The Brazil-born Spanish international has been, thus far, sensational for the Blues, doing a tremendous job upfront with his 12 goals. But for him to grow and become a leader of the west London squad, he needs to get a hindrance known as "language barrier" out of the way.

"He's a very nice and funny guy. He likes to make jokes and I think when he improves his English he'll have even more influence in the squad," he told the Club's official Website.

"He knows how to control himself very well. He never sleeps in the game, he's not quiet, he wants to be a star, and he wants to be the player around which everything happens in the game."

"It's good for the team when he's working and you can see he is always trying to win duels and look positive on the pitch.

"He is set up like this for the team, it's his style."

Aside from the aforementioned concern by Ivanovic, Costa would definitely need to control his emotions during games and avoid going down easily in the six-yard box, which earned him 7 yellow cards and a game's suspension in the process.
