Channing Tatum is not a fan of the movie he did, "G.I Joe." Shocking as that is, he also shared that he did “21 Jump” even though many people advised him not to.

Speaking with Howard Stern on the SiriusXM radio show (via US Magazine), the "Magic Mike XXL" star revealed that he was pushed into doing “G.I Joe.” He also used the word “hate” to describe his feelings for the movie, even though it was a 2009 blockbuster that grossed $302 million across the world. He also revealed that he was kind of just persuaded to do the movie, despite her misgivings. "I was pushed into doing that movie...[After] Coach Carter, they signed me for a three-picture deal...And as a young [actor], you're like, 'Oh my god, that sounds amazing, I'm doing that!’” he explained.

He received “G.I Joe” as a project and his initial thoughts were that the “script wasn’t any good.” He said he had anxious feelings that he would ruin something he loved as a kid. Moreover, he wanted to play Snake-Eyes, but the studio would not let him. He took on the role of G.I Joe even though he did not like to do something he thought was bad and did not know if he was ready for. He added that he really did not have a choice, because he could be sued. At the end of the day, the actor said that he is just “super lucky and blessed” to be given the film. He also expressed his luck of not getting something worse, such as a role in “Scream 5.”

On the other hand, he shared that “21 Jump Street” was something he was raring to do even if his whole team thought it was a bad idea. He did it anyway and enjoyed the benefits afterwards. The 2012 movie garnered $201 million across the world. It was even followed up by a sequel, “22 Jump Street,” which was released in 2014 and garnered $331 million.

At the present time, he is set to make hearts swoon with “Magic Mike XXL,” where he plays a sexy stripper. Asked by People magazine what he would do if his currently 2-year-old daughter would see it one day, Tatum shared that he is definitely preparing for the day. He added that he has no intentions of keeping the movie away from her daughter’s eyes. This is why as early as now, he is going to save up some money for college and then for “therapy,” he joked.
