Android makers Sony, Samsung and HTC are all expected to announce several devices at the start of the year 2015. Sony has been considering the release of a new 12-inch tablet, which, according to reports, will be the Xperia Z4 Ultra tablet.

Previously, there were doubts about Sony's plans since the specs appear too good to be true. Nonetheless, Android Geeks claim that the mass production will start soon, thus the announcement and actual release will be imminent. Among the specs reported are 12.9-inch 3840 x 2400 resolution display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It will also sport an 8.6mm thin body and 8MP primary camera. It will be priced over $1,000 which makes it quite expensive.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S6, Phone Arena reports about a new render showing the assembled device. This supports claims of the flagship's release sometime soon. Reported specs include a 5.2 or 5.-5inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display offering up to 1440 x 2560-pixels, Snapdragon 810 system chip with 64-bit support and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The device will also reportedly come with an Exynos variant same as with other Samsung flagships. More importantly, the Samsung Galaxy S6 may also stand to feature an edge screen same with the Galaxy Note Edge. Analysts believe that Samsung has been working on emphasising a more premium look over its designs, matching competitors like Apple.

Lastly, HTC will also reportedly be joining the rest of the tech players for an early announcement and release. The company has been preparing a device referred to as Hima, which others believe to be the same as the HTC One M9. Some of the specs expected are a display offering resolution between 1440p to 1080p, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC and 3GB RAM. It will also feature a 2,840mAh capacity battery, 20.7MP primary camera and 13MP front camera. As if walking up the same path with Samsung, the company also appears to be working on two more editions of the Hima: HTC Hima Ultra and HTC Hima Ace.
