It's that time of the year again when celebrities, models, and talented designers come together to celebrate a monumental week for Australia's fashion industry.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia is an annual industry-only event where the best of the best of Australia's fashion is seen.

Of course, this epic happening wouldn't be complete without celebrity sightings gracing the fabulous occasion. Showcasing the latest seasonal collections from Australia and Asia-Pacific designers, our fashion forward celebrities aren't going to let themselves fall behind with the latest from Australian fashion.

Among the star-studded list of sightings is Sara McGrath who turned up with husband Glenn, ahead of designers Camilla and Marc at the festival's opening show. Sara wore a plum Phillip Lim shirt-and-pant ensemble complemented by a black Louis Vuitton clutch, as she and husband Glenn arrived at the Camilla and Marc show.

Amidst the excitement, she said that she would be attending shows all week, saying, "I'm really looking forward to seeing Ginger & Smart, and we're going to Aurelio Costarella too. I should have worn an Australian designer, but I was running late."

Other fashion A-listers who attended were Phoebe Tonkin and NSW Fashion Ambassador Lara Bingle, reuniting on the front row of Camilla and Marc's runway show after spending Friday night together with some close friends.

Another celeb spotted was Kate Waterhouse who kicked off her fashion week appearances in a Gucci dress, similar to what Emma Stone wore for The Croods premiere in Berlin. Pip Edwards wore mixed ensembles with shades of blue, black, and white for the show.

Continuing well into the night, the show included Australia's premier couturier Alex Perry. His show's front row was flanked by two of his two biggest celebrity supporters--Sarah Murdoch and Megan Gale.

With a crowd filled with famous faces and industry insiders, looks like it's a good start for Australian Fashion Week, and we're looking forward to more glamour in the front row in the coming days.
