'Celebrity Big Brother UK': Jonathan Cheban exits as housemate just after six days
“Celebrity Big Brother UK” (“CBB UK) is two housemates less. It’s recently been revealed that Jonathan Cheban has voluntarily left the show just after less than a week of staying inside the “Celebrity Big Brother" house.
According to Mirror UK, a spokesman for Channel 5 has confirmed Cheban’s exit from “Celebrity Big Brother UK.” The reality TV star, who has appeared in “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” with his best friend Kim Kardashian-West, left the show just after six days.
“Jonathan Cheban has decided to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House. His exit will appear in tomorrow night’s show (12.01.16) on Channel 5 at 9pm,” the spokesman said on Monday, according to Mirror UK’s report.
Reasons for Cheban’s exit from the show have yet to be revealed. However, during a previous Diary Room chat he had admitted to feeling suffocated inside the “Celebrity Big Brother” house. Mirror UK added that he had also expressed his doubts on whether he should leave or stay.
“Right now I'm feeling a little bit edgy and claustrophobic. There's a point when my mental stability is more important that entertaining. I know Big Brother would not want me pain especially when I give 24 hour entertainment,” he said during the Diary Room chat.
Cheban reportedly had a conversation with fellow “Celebrity Big Brother UK” star Gemma Collins, who asked him to stay. He agreed to stay one more day to see if his condition improves. However, he later gave up and told a producer in the Diary Room how he feels like the house is closing in on him. Cheban had reportedly complained about not going to be calm until he gets out because there's "no room to hide“ inside the house.
Cheban is the second housemate to exit “Celebrity Big Brother UK.” Former UK politician Winston MacKenzie was voted out for allegedly offending fellow housemates with her homophobic remarks.
It’s believed the reality TV star was asked to join “Celebrity Big Brother UK” because of his close ties with the Kardashian family. He was reportedly offered a six figure amount to join the show, on the off chance that he would reveal some interesting details about the Kardashian clan.
