The death of David Bowie has left his ex-wife and “Celebrity Big Brother UK” housemate Angie Bowie stunned. The former model also agreed to stay in the “Celebrity Big Brother” house after being told of the singer’s death.

Angie was told of David’s death inside the “Celebrity Big Brother” house. According to Mirror UK, she was taken out of the house and was told by her representatives off-camera. She reportedly broke down in tears and expressed her sadness over his passing. However, Andie admitted that she can’t really “make a big drama” out of the singer’s death because they have not seen each other for years.

“I just feel like an era has ended with his passing. I'm so very sad, stardust has gone,” she said according to Mirror UK’s report.

The author and former model was later joined by fellow “Celebrity Big Brother UK” housemates John Partridge and David Guest in the Diary Room so she could compose herself. A video shared by Mirror UK shows Angie sobbing inside the Diary Room before being comforted by Partridge and Guest.

A spokesperson for the show likewise revealed that Angie has decided to stay in the “Celebrity Big Brother” house.

"The decision to remain in the house is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed,” the spokesperson said according to Mirror UK.

During her time on the show, Angie had opened up about her marriage with the music legend. She had reportedly revealed that she and David haven’t spoken to each other in 40 years. Angie had the notion that David hated her that’s why he stopped visiting her. It’s believed their divorce in 1980 also didn’t end well.

Tributes from fans, colleagues from the music industry and Hollywood stars started to pour in as soon as news of David’s death was posted online. The “Lazarus” singer died at the age of 69 following his 18-month battle with cancer. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.
