Episode 1 of Season 4 of “The Celebrity Apprentice: Australia” aired on Wednesday, Sept. 16, on the Nine Network. The show featured the return of Mark Bouris as head of the boardroom.

Bouris is a very successful high-profile businessman and Chairman/co-founder of Yellow Brick Road, a wealth management firm. He will guide and remove several Australian celebrities with the ultimate goal of raising cash for their respective charities. For the fourth season, Bouris has two new advisors to help him monitor the contestants. They are TV personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley and ModelCo founder and CEO Shelley Barrett, 9Jumpin notes.

As expected, the first episode already showed rising tension among members of the cast. “ The candidates in the reality TV series are as follows:

In the first episode, Gabi Grecko was the first to get fired. Grecko and team leader Gina Liano immediately got on each other’s throats while working to sell copies of Gabi’s husband’s autobiography. Gabi broke down during the task, after discovering that they had to sell the book which details her husband’s sex life.

Gina remained tough and thought of Gabi’s responses as weak. Gina said that the latter was waiting to be spoon fed and failed to make decisions. For the initial task of the season, contestants were given a 20-foot container with contents they must sell at the highest price possible.

Grecko failed to recover and felt that the whole team was going against her and taking Gina’s side. Grecko said that Gina was there to launch an attack on her and never gave her a chance to sell. In the boardroom, Bouris found Grecko to be the weakest member and fired her. She became the first person to leave the show.

“Celebrity Apprentice: Australia” Season 4 airs every Wednesday at 8:40 p.m. on Channel Nine. So far, the premiere reportedly did not do very well in ratings, raking only 566,000 metro viewers, according to TV Tonight. Celebrity Apprentice Australia” is a production of FremantleMedia Australia for the Nine Network.
