Famous people are sending their well wishes and thoughts on Hurricane Sandy via the social update site, Twitter.

Celebrities from both east and the west coast are writing down their thoughts and reactions towards the "Frankenstorm," hurricane Sandy in their Twitter accounts. Some are downright worried, while others remain calm and witty with the whole situation.

Waves brought by storm flooded and crashed surrounding communities, towns, and cities in the East Coast on Monday as they take a hit from one of the worst weather disturbances in years.

"I have anchored many hurricanes, winter storms, earthquakes but I don't think I've ever seen anything like #Sandy #Frakenstorm" tweets Larry King.

American Horror Star, Zachary Quinto, applauded President Barack Obama for staying resilient despite the major setback in the nation.

"so grateful for such a vigilant compassionate and sure handed president in the face of impending storm. stay safe everyone. heed warnings!" writes Quinto in his account.

"Everyone here at the show will be thinking about the East Coast all day. We hope you & your families stay safe through the hurricane." wrote Ellen DeGeneres from her show.

Like those involved in productions in the New York area being shut down because of the storm, Jimmy Kimmel's expressed his regret over the cancellation of his show due to hurricane Sandy.

"Though it pains us to do it, JKLfrom #Brooklyn tonight is cancelled. I'm disappointed too, but we want you to be safe." tweets Kimmel.

Dozens of film productions have been shut for safety, including Russel Crowe's "Noah's Ark." Among all of the productions being halted by Hurricane Sandy, Noah's Ark deemed the most ironic. Actress, Emma Watson, reacted about this incident in her Twitter account.

"I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production." writes Watson in her page.

While others are worried, some celebrities make sure that they stay funny to amuse their fans and keep their hopes up.

"This "Sandy" who's on TV all the time and is blowing the entire east coast, I assume she's a Kardashian right?" tweets comedian, Ricky Gervais.
