CDFA Fashion Awards 2014: Stars' Best Looks and Fashion Statements [See Photos]

Another important fashion event, but perhaps less than the MET Gala, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards 2014 at Lincoln Center, New York, was flooded with designers, celebrities and editors.

The annual event gave tribute to awardees and honorees who have showcased their extraordinary design excellence in womenswear, menswear, accessories and journalism. At the same time, it was an avenue for showcasing more intimate, more casual and more fun fashion statements.

Rihanna stepped into the red carpet with an almost-naked dress and head scarf which stunned everybody in attendance. The Barbados-born pop sensation surely lived up to her undeniable international influence as the bold-faced ambassador for fashion labels bringing home the Fashion Icon Award.

Blake Lively arrived at the awards night in a sleeveless gold Michael Kors dress with matching Lorraine Schwarts jewels and high heels. The "Gossip Girl" star stopped for a snapshot with the designer himself at the red carpet.

Emmy Rossum equally dazzled in her plunging lime green J Mendel gown which appeared somewhat covered at the front but was actually very revealing at the back. The "Beautiful Creatures" star completed her outfit with a pointed black Manolo Blahnik heels.

Model Chanel Iman attended the awards night in a structured, sequined floor-length black Monique Lhuillier gown showcasing her extremely stylish look. The innovative architectural draping completely flaunted the model's figure.

Solange Knowles shimmered at the CDFA Fashion Awards in her plunging custom-made silver Calvin Klein gown with matching Jennifer Fisher jewelry. The singer finished off her Diana Ross-inspired retro look with her brushed voluminous curls and hot pink lipstick. She made frenzy at the MET Gala after a video of her attack at Jay Z in an elevator leaked online.

Bridget Moynahan was dressed in a strapless, flowing violet gown by Lela Rose at the awards night. The former "Sex and the City" star pulled off the event with a barely there make-up and slicked back hair which made her appear like attending a high school prom.

Heidi Klum arrived at the CDFA Fashion Awards in a coral Donna Karan gown which dangerously exposed the sides of her boobs. The German-born model completed her stunning look with Jimmy Choo heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
