'Castle' Season 7 Updates: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion 'Muy Caliente' In New Episode

"Castle" Season 7, Episode 12, airs Monday, Jan. 19, on ABC. This week's new episode is titled "Private Eye Caramba!" Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion get extra passionate as Kate Beckett and Nathan Fillion, respectively, in this "muy caliente" episode.

"When a young Latin telenovela actress is murdered, Beckett and the team delve into a case that is as flamboyant and full of intrigue as any telenovela," reads the Castle 7x12 synopsis on thefutoncritic.com.

A promo video for "Castle" Season 7, Episode 12 shows Beckett and Fillion enjoying a bit of role playing in the latter's private investigator's office. Just then, a woman, sounding upset, interrupts the scene. The show's Twitter account is teasing a "muy caliente" case in this week's new episode.

This week's "Castle" episode title plays with the Spanish expression "Ay caramba!" It is a catchphrase often heard from Bart of "The Simpsons." The phrase denotes surprise. On the other hand, "muy caliente" is roughly translated as "very hot." These considered, "Castle" Season 7, Episode 12 is expected to contain a few surprises and some sexy scenes.

Daya Vaidya ("Unforgettable") guest stars in "Castle" Season 7, Episode 12 as Sofia Del Cordova. The other guest stars are: Kamar De Los Reyes as Manuel Villalobos, Franco Barberis as Francisco Herrara, and Erick Lopez as Marcus Segundo.

Castle Season 7, Episode 12 moves Rick Castle forward in his new career as a private investigator. Initially, Kate Beckett is not thrilled about this, mostly because Castle surprises her with the big change. However, by the end of Episode 11, Beckett shows her full support by giving Castle his own Sherlock tools - a hat and a magnifying glass.

The new dynamics among Castle, Beckett, and their friends at the 12th precinct do not go well with Captain Gates (Penny Johnson Jerald). It remains to be seen, however, whether Castle could find a way back to the NYPD to shadow his wife in the next new episodes of "Castle" Season 7.

Meanwhile, there has been no progress in the Castle mystery that was launched in Season 7's premiere episode. What happened to Rick Castle in the two months he was away remains shrouded in mist.

Castle Season 7 airs Mondays on ABC.
