A teen girl who looked for ways to face (pun with good intention) her problems has reached an exciting milestone in her young life as she worked her swagger on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, the Daily Mail reported.

"DiamondsAndHeels14" to her 42 million YouTube channel subscribers, Cassandra Bankson was cast by designer Stacey Igel at her Boy Meets Girl show in Chelsea, Manhattan.

Speaking to the Today show, Igel described the 5-ft-11-inches model to be "natural" and "carefree."

"(S)he definitely had the vibe of what I was casting for the show," Igel said.

Musing on her first runway appearance, 19-year-old Bankson told the New York Post she is now "a different person."

"It feels like a dream to be here during Fashion Week... I am a different person from who I used to be because I've got so much more confidence now," Bankson said.

One of Bankson's many YouTube clips, "Foundation Routine Flawless Skin (Full Coverage Tutorial) Cystic Acne & Scaring," had nearly 12 million views since December 2010. Through this video, she showed the extent of her acne problems to her subscribers. And then she went on to show how magic happens with her collection of foundation. Her acne problems pushed her to look for ways to feel better with available solutions. She then went on to share her knowledge with as many people as she could.

Bankson has revealed she wants to pursue a career in dermatology someday.

"I hope she nails her dream and does become a dermatologist. She has a great deal of inspiration and empathy to offer her future patients," says news commenter Jennifer from Colorado.

Recent YouTube comments are praising Bankson for her courage to broadcast the foundation tutorial. A lot of comments are from well-wishers who wish to encourage Bankson in realizing her dreams.
