More than a year after her breakup with professional golfer Rory McIlroy, it seems that Caroline Wozniacki has moved on pretty well from the pit of despair and emotional rollercoaster that came with the split. Recently, Wozniacki had a trip back to the place where she and McIlroy planned their future together a year ago, but instead of dwelling on the past and thinking why the breakup happened, Wozniacki has chosen to let go of the regret in her failed relationship.

Wozniacki and McIlroy announced their engagement on New Year's Eve of 2013. The engagement took place over at Sydney Harbour Bridge. This year, Wozniacki has flown back to the place where she said yes to McIlroy and she refused to ponder on her broken engagement during her Sydney return.

"Obviously if feels different [coming back here], because a lot has changed since then," Wozniacki told Fairfax Media. "I love Sydney, it's a great place, I think it's such a great city, but honestly, I'm past what happened last year."

Their relationship is over for a reason, which is why the Dane tennis star is not looking back after McIlroy dumped her. Wozniacki said that she is just enjoying every moment and continuing to play her best tennis.

The World No. 8 arrived in Sydney on the evening of Jan. 10 to compete at the 2015 APIA Sydney International tournament. It was Wozniacki'a second match of the season after losing to Venus Williams at the ASB Classic in Auckland.

Unfortunately, Wozniacki was forced to pull out of the Sydney tournament during her first round match against Barbora Zahlavova Strycova because of a wrist injury. In an interview after the match, Wozniacki said she didn't want the injury to worsen before the Australian Open. She added that she is going to try and get some treatment on her injured left wrist and hopefully, she will be ready for the first Grand Slam tournament of the year. With one week to go before the 2015 Australian Open kicks off on Jan. 19, Wozniacki is confident that she will be able to play in Melbourne.
