Cara Delevingne is making waves in both modelling and movie industries. Now called a “supermodel,” Cara said being a model actually made acting harder to do. She also said she is fine with the idea of having a music album.

Cara is said to be transitioning from being a full-fledged successful model to an equally successful actress. Even though she can still be seen in various campaigns and runways, Cara is said to be more focused on her acting career now. The film, “Paper Towns,” where she is set to be the lead star, will be released this summer already. She is also part of DC-inspired movie, “Suicide Squad.”

Cara, however, shared that it was not easy to make that transition. She added that her talent at modelling and her years as a model made it even harder to act. In an interview with WSJ magazine, she detailed what is different from acting and modeling. "With acting, the last thing you do is try to look pretty. Modelling actually makes acting harder—it makes you so self-aware,” she shared.

Interestingly, she shared that not getting to do acting before was the reason she became a model and a very good one at that. She said that at one time, before she turned into a supermodel, she gave up on acting first because getting an agent was “impossible.” She said she received a lot of comments saying she is just a model-material, so she out to be a model. She added that she focused so hard on it that she became successful.

Despite the difficulties, she is already starting to be known as a model and an actress. She shared to WSJ though that she wants to avoid becoming a "cliché: model-slash-actress.” She also added that with this transition, her main goal is to show that anyone can be anything they want to be. She is even open to the idea of having a music album, not because she thought she would be an instant hit, but it is due to her belief that people are going to judge her “so harshly” that she finds it an exciting endeavor to engage in.

Pharell, who worked with her in a Lagerfeld-directed short film for Chanel, “Reincarnation,” also saw the same drive and ambition. He said that Cara dreams big and likes to do many things. He also called her a “natural” at acting because she can just jump into whatever role she needs to be.

Aside from "Suicide Squad" and "Paper Towns," Cara's acting skills can also be gleaned in "Pan," where she plays twin mermaids! The trailer of the said remake has been released earlier this week.
