Set photos and plot details have been released online while “Captain America: Civil War” continues with production in Atlanta. According to a report, Bucky Barnes a.k.a. the Winter Soldier will be hunted down by Black Panther in the sequel.

According to notorious movie scoopster Umberto Gonzalez, T’Challa or Black Panther’s presence in “Captain America: Civil War” will mean bad news for the Winter Soldier. On his Instagram post on Monday, May 18, Gonzalez said Black Panther will be on a mission to hunt down Bucky Barnes. His post has since received over one thousand four hundred likes.

Gonzalez did not provide any specific details as to why Black Panther is after the Winter Soldier. However, previous reports claimed it could have something to do with the metal vibranium, which is rich in Black Panther’s nation of Wakanda. Instagram user tkawesome13 also said "it’s probably because Bucky “stole vibranium (for his arm) from Wakanda and T'Challa wants it back.” A photo shared by Gonzalez show Bucky Barnes wearing some kind of black armour on his left arm. Black Panther is also featured in the photo wearing his dark black suit and cape.

According to Screenrant, it’s also possible that Bucky Barnes got hold of the vibranium to upgrade his bionic arm while he was in hiding following the events in “Captain America: Winter Soldier.” He may have reportedly also gotten in touch with Ulysses Klaw (Andy Serkis) for his needed Vibranium and this would put Bucky under Black Panther’s radar. Regardless, it remains to be seen why T’Challa is after the Winter Soldier in “Captain America: Civil War.”

Last fans saw of Steve Rogers’ best friend in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” he was on the run after rescuing Cap from drowning. Prior to that, he was seen visiting his exhibit at the Smithsonian museum to try to regain his stolen memories. “Winter Soldier” ended with Captain America and his new partner, Sam Wilson a.k.a. The Falcon (Anthony Mackie) vowing to find Bucky Barnes together. However, per Cinema Blend it seems their search has been futile based on the “party scene” in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” It reportedly “confirmed that they’d been following ‘cold leads’ and no progress had been made.”
