Anthony Mackie revealed potential plot details for the highly anticipated film, "Captain America: Civil War." In one of his recent interviews, the actor talked about his character Falcon, his new look and whether he will be the next "Captain America" shield wielder or not. [Warning: Potential Spoilers Alert!]

Speculations are rife and it is believed that Chris Evans' Captain America will soon bite the dust. At the same time, everyone is wondering who will be worthy enough to take control of Steve Rogers' powerful weapon, the Shield. The two potential candidates in competition to become the next Captain America are Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson/Falcon.

In his interview with Windy City Live (via Comic Book Movie), Anthony Mackie addressed the possible development and whether he will ever become Captain America or not. "Well, you know there are many incarnations in the comic book, and we are now going into the Civil War," Anthony Mackie told Windy City Live.

Referring to the storyline in the comic book, the actor revealed that even though Captain America gives his shield to Bucky Barnes, the character returns it to the original shield wielder, and then Captain America passes it on to Falcon. "Then Bucky goes off and marries Black Widow, so I keep the shield, give it back to Cap, and recently Cap wanted to be old, so he gave me the shield back and now I got the shield; I'm not giving it back," Anthony Mackie continued to explain.

However, this storyline is subject to change depending on how the studio decides to deal with the characters. The last time fans saw Falcon, his suit was totally destroyed; thus, fans know that he is going to get a new suit and new look for "Captain America: Civil War." Not revealing many details about it, Anthony Mackie told Hollywood Chicago, "The new Falcon suit is gonna be much better than the old Falcon suit ... you gotta rebuild."

"Captain America: Civil War" will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and will star Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan. It is expected to be released on May 6, 2016.
