The main plot of “Captain America: Civil War” has now been confirmed in a report about a casting notice for the upcoming movie. Cast member Robert Downey Jr. had previously spoken about how his character will evolve and what the fans can expect to see in the movie. [Warning: Spoilers Alert]

The events in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” are expected to have a heavy impact on “Captain America: Civil War.” According to a report by Collider, a synopsis of the movie confirms that the main reason for the conflict between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark is a government act that is “designed to regulate superhuman activity.”

The “collective governments of the world” will apparently pass a new act to regulate superhero activities. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are divided on whether or not to support the new act. The difference of opinion will eventually culminate into a conflict between two superhero factions after superheroes also choose sides between the two former allies.

The report also quotes Robert Downey Jr. speaking about the changes in Tony Stark in “Captain America: Civil War.” The actor suggests that the clues that will lead to the character’s complete “turn around” will be found in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The character has so far been distrustful of the government and government agencies.

Although Tony Stark built his fortune by selling arms to the government, he has refused to hand over his Iron Man suit and its technology to the government. The near fatal incident of the first movie had also led to the character changing completely and announcing that his company will no longer make any weapons.

Tony Stark’s obsession to stop a war from before they happen will unleash a powerful new villain in the movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” According to the report, Robert Downey Jr. asked the fans to consider what the U.S government would do if all the “throw downs” of the superheroes in the movies was real.

Fans of the franchise are eagerly waiting to see the battle between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in “Captain America: Civil War.” The movie is slated to be released on May 6, 2016 in the U.S and on April 29 in the UK and New Zealand. The release date information for Australia has still not been revealed by the producers.
