Frank Grillo has been teasing his involvement in “Captain America: Civil War,” where he’s said to reprise his role as Brock Rumlow a.k.a. Crossbones. Even without any official casting announcement, the actor has been talking about his return to the franchise during interviews. Now Grillo is back at it again teasing his importance in the sequel with a post on his social media page.

The actor sent out a tweet hinting his return as Crossbones in “Captain America: Civil War.” On his post he wrote, “A #civil-war is on the horizon. And it's gonna be a free for all.” Then to back up his statements, Frank Grillo shared a comicbook art of his character battling it out with Cap. The image he shared on his Instagram page was captioned, “A line has been drawn. Do you have the balls to cross it?”

It seems Captain America can never escape his fate from the hands of Brock Rumlow if Frank Grillo’s return is confirmed. There have been previous rumours of Crossbones being the cause of the super soldier’s death. Cinema Blend once claimed that the film’s version on the major villain will be similar to the Crossbones in the Civil War comics, who killed Steve Rogers at the end.

This wouldn’t be the first time Frank Grillo has teased his return as Brock Rumlow a.k.a. Crossbones in “Captain America: Civil War.” In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor assured that what viewers saw of his character in “Winter Soldier” is “just a taste of what's to come.” Grillo said his character will be very different in the sequel as he will reportedly be more “vicious.” This time there will be “no holds barred” for the villain, he added.

To physically keep up with his role, Frank Grillo also revealed the preparations he had to undergo to portray the “badass” Crossbones. The actor told the publication that he had to gain 15 pounds for his character in “Captain America: Civil War.” That’s another 15 pound on top of the 15 that he reportedly had to also gain for “Winter Soldier.” Nonetheless, the actor admitted he loved playing the character. He also didn’t mind putting on additional weight since it reportedly helps with the physical transformation of Brock Rumlow a.k.a. Crossbones in the sequel.
