In the Marvel comics, Scarlet Witch and the Vision had some romance going on. Whether this will be played out on the big screen in “Captain America: Civil War” is yet to be seen. However, Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch, recently teased what could be the best means to showcase the characters’ relationship.

Olsen was asked to share some details about her character’s development in “Captain America: Civil War” during an interview with USA Today. When asked to comment about a possible Scarlet Witch and Vision movie to showcase the characters’ affection for one another, the actress expressed her interest to have it patterned after the classic comic book series “House of M.”

“That’s still all I want to do, I don’t care. I would just love to have make-believe children and have him play along with it and then just decide to destroy all mutants,” she said.

However, whether Marvel Studios will expand on the characters’ relationship in “Captain America: Civil War” is still uncertain. It would reportedly also be difficult for the studio to get a storyline out of “House of M” since Fox owns the rights to the “X-Men” and other mutant characters also found in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Olsen told USA Today that it “would be so fun” to bring that comic book series to the big screen, she also acknowledged that it “would never happen.”

There were already scenes in “Age of Ultron” that give reference to Vision and Scarlet Witch’s possible romance. According to Moviepilot, that scene where Vision carries Scarlet to safety from being plummeted to the ground with the city was a nod to their foreshadowing romance. Out of all the Avengers, Vision chose to risk his life to help her. Likewise, Wanda Maximoff staring with wonder at Vision following his creation is said to be another reference to their blossoming relationship.

In the same interview with USA Today, Olsen also expressed her excitement and happiness at being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She called the experience mind blowing and crazy.

“I am loving every time I get to go back to playing Scarlet Witch, and it is really nice to have the balance of doing something character driven and dramatic,” she told the publication.
