Frank Grillo will be reprising his role as the villain Brock Rumlow a.k.a. Crossbones in "Captain America: Civil War." The actor recently sat down for an interview, where he talked about how he was asked to rejoin the sequel and the preparations he made to channel his "vicious" character.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Frank Grillo revealed Crossbones' appearance in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is "just a taste of what's to come" with the next film. Expressing his excitement over being recast, the actor recalled he got a call about a body scan when he was initially invited for "Captain America: Civil War."

"They just kind of called and said, 'What kind of shape are you in? We're going to need a body scan.' They scan your body so that whatever you wear fits you like a glove," he said.

The body scan eventually had to do with Grillo's preparations to portray his character. Frank Grillo revealed the sequel will debut Crossbones transformation into a "vicious" and "badass" villain. There will reportedly be "no holds barred" for Crossbones in "Captain America: Civil War." Additionally, during the interview Grillo revealed he had to gain 15 pounds to portray his character. The actor claimed it's an additional 15 pounds to the 15 pounds he had to gain for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Nonetheless he also admitted to loving "the physicality" since it changes how Crossbones will look and how he feels about the character.

Frank Grillo's return in "Captain America: Civil War" as Crossbones will supposedly signal the end of Captain Steve Rogers. According to the International Business Times, Cap will face his death in the hands of the villain. One scene in the sequel will allegedly show how the death of the First Avenger will happen.

The site supposed "Captain America: Civil War" will show the superheroes divided under two leaders; under Tony Stark and Captain America. Steve Rogers will gather those under his command and take refuge in Doctor Stephen Strange's cave. However, when the super soldier decides to come out from hiding to surrender, that's when Crossbones' involvement comes in. Captain America will allegedly be killed by one of Brock Rumlow's bullet during their altercation.
