Anthony Mackie spilled details about his role in “Captain America: Civil War” in one of his recent interviews. The actor will reprise his role as The Falcon in the movie set to be released in 2016.

Promoting his film “Black and White,” Anthony Mackie spoke to iamRogue and talked about “Captain America: Civil War” and his possible appearance in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” He also revealed who he will support between Captain America and Iron Man in the Civil War.

When talking about his return as The Falcon/Sam Wilson in “Captain America: Civil War,” he revealed “he asked and begged to come back.” According to him, the only cast member who had seen the "early version of the script was Chris Evans." He further revealed that Chris Evans told him that the “movie is going to be good” and “big.”

It is said that “Captain America: Civil War” is loosely based on the graphic novel titled “Civil War” by Mark Millar and Steven McNiven. Even though the actor confirmed that he has read the comic, he is reportedly not sure how closely the movie will follow the events depicted in it. The actor said that he has not yet read the script.

Furthermore, Mackie revealed that he is thrilled see Chadwick Boseman’s character Black Panther. Fans know that the movie’s plot revolves around the government act that will cause a conflict among the superheroes and see them divided. The dispute will result in an epic Civil War with Captain America and Iron Man in the middle.

Anthony Mackie also talked about his character’s costume and look. It seems he is looking forward to have a “new and improved costume and come out all flashy in spandex.” He also addressed the rumours suggesting his appearance in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” He said that until now he hasn’t shot a scene for the movie, but he is letting the concerned people know he is available. The actor is really hoping to get a scene in the highly anticipated Marvel movie.

In another interview, the actor confirmed that he is not yet aware who he will support in the Civil War in the movie. However, he did show inclination towards Tony Stark. Speaking to We Got This Covered, Anthony Mackie said: "I don’t know... Tony Stark is one cool brother, so I would definitely have to side with him just for the parties. Then when it came to the fight, I’d go over to Cap (laughs).”

"Captain America: Civil War" will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan. It is expected to be released on May 6, 2016.
