The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, talked about how the movie “Ant-Man” connects to the story line of “Captain America: Civil War.” He also talked about how the movies are placed in the larger plan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A new trailer of “Ant-Man” has been released. Kevin Feige spoke to SlashFilm about how the movie is a “link” between “Avengers 2” and “Captain America: Civil War.” The movie may not feature Steve Rogers or any of the other superheroes from Marvel, but since the movie is being released in between the two popular Marvel movies, it would allow the movie to continue some aspects of the storyline.

“Civil War is the start of Phase Three,” Feige explained and according to him “Ant-Man” is a “culmination of Phase Two.” The movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are being released in three phases, which began with the “Iron Man” movie. The Phase Three would end with all the superheroes coming together to face their biggest challenge by the villain Thanos.

The “Ant-Man” movie “picks up the thread of Age of Ultron in terms of heroes,” according to the report. The heroes in “Avengers” come from “unexpected” backgrounds and the character Scott Lang in the upcoming movie will share this with the heroes, as he comes out of prison to become a superhero.

Hank Pym in “Ant-Man,” played by Michael Douglas, will share his “informed” opinion on the “Avengers” and spy agency called S.H.I.E.L.D, Kevin Feige said in the report. The world will become more aware of unrestricted superhero activity after the events of “Avengers 2.”

Hank Pym’s attitude in “Ant-Man” may set the stage for “Captain America: Civil War.” The main plot of the movie revolves around the disagreement between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark about a new government legislation that seeks to regulate superhero activity and forces the heroes to reveal their secret identity.

Readers should note that Ultron will attempt to create a wedge among the superheroes in “Avengers 2.” The movie “Ant-Man” may show the audience the aftereffects and reactions of the world after Ultron and this may help in the natural transition in the storyline to “Captain America: Civil War.”
