It's almost official now. Cameron Diaz is now engaged to Benji Madden after a whirlwind romance of seven months. The actress is seen sporting a beautiful ring on her ring finger these days which has once again led to various speculations about her relationship status.

Multiple sources, including US Weekly, Fox News and Daily Mail, have confirmed the fact that the 42-year-old popular American actress is now engaged to be married to the rocker Madden very soon. The actress met the Good Charlotte rocker this May and is now fully prepped up to bring the relationship to the next level.

"They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that," told an insider to US Weekly. Family and friends close to the couple are very happy and hopeful that the couple will tie the knot very soon. One of the close friends of Madden has revealed that he is quite keen to get married and settle down with the famous "Annie" star.

Madden's twin brother and bandmate, Joel Madden, is married to the famous Nichole Richie. It was Richie who actually set up Diaz with her current flame. "Yes," answered the adopted daughter of Lionel Richie when quizzed by Andy Cohen in a chat show. "I'm going to take responsibility for everything!"

The actress these days is seen with a very unnoticeable gold wedding-style band complete with sparkling diamond perched on her ring finger. Nothing is officially announced as of now, but various webloids have stamped the couple as newly engaged.

Both Diaz and Madden have their shares of failed high profile relationships in their respective pasts. While Diaz was rumoured to have been linked romantically to Justin Timberlake and Matt Dillon, Madden was involved in a much publicised fling with none other than Paris Hilton.

However, the mother of the famous and much loved actress is quite fond of the heavily tattooed rocker. She is also very hopeful and keeps her fingers crossed that her daughter will finally settle down this time. The couple were spotted on the sunny beaches of Miami and have been a common sight on the bustling streets of New York City.
