Calvin Harris 'Touchy Feely' With Taylor Swift Amid Reports Of Split With Girlfriend Aarika Wolf
Calvin Harris and his girlfriend, underwear model Aarika Wolf have reportedly called it quits after just seven months of dating. Rumours have it the couple split because of the DJ’s growing closeness with singer Taylor Swift.
According to Eonline, a source told The Sun that Calvin Harris and Aarika Wolf ended their relationship last month, “around the time of the Brits awards.” "They were both into each other for a long time but it just didn't work out and they'll stay friends," the source added.
The source claimed Harris’ busy schedule of touring around the globe apparently took its toll on the couple’s relationship. However, there’s reportedly no ill feelings felt on his side since he’s said to be “happy to be single for a while.”
Mirror UK noted that Calvin Harris certainly did not look like someone who just recently came from a break up, during the Brits Awards. He was reportedly spotted getting close to Taylor Swift, adding fuel to rumours that the latter could be another reason for the DJ’s split with his model girlfriend.
Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen Calvin Harris being “touchy-feely” towards Taylor Swift following the awards, during the Universal party. “Insiders said there was definite chemistry between them,” Mirror UK wrote.
According to the site, Taylor Swift even flew out to Las Vegas over the weekend to watch Calvin Harris DJ. Insiders said she even did some serious dance moves behind Harris at the DJ booth. However, she was reportedly not alone at the event as she was joined by best pals Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding. A photo posted on Swift’s Instagram account, showing her with Selena and Ellie, supposedly proves she was in Las Vegas.
On a professional note, Calvin Harris had previously expressed his intention to work with Taylor Swift since he supposedly considers her as an “amazing songwriter.” Sources close to the “Style” singer claims Taylor would also love to collaborate on a track with the DJ.
However, as far as the Calvin Harris and Aarika Wolf split reports go, both parties have yet to publicly confirm the status of their relationship. Harris’ representative declined to respond to Mirror UK’s request for comments and also told Eonline “No Comment.” Taylor Swift on the other hand has reportedly vowed to remain single after her numerous breakups.
