‘Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Zombies’ in Spaceland Trailer reveals 80s inspiration, new perks

Infinity Ward and Activision have teased the arrival of Zombies mode in “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.” And now that Gamescom has also already landed, COD fans have been treated to the official trailer and first details of the mode.

“Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” players should prepare themselves for some 80s fever, as the zombies mode will be set in a space-themed amusement park. Set to the beat of 80s music, the storyline of Zombies in Spaceland are about four aspiring actors who are auditioning in a mysterious movie theatre.

The invite was all care of director Willard Wyler (Paul Reubens in “Gotham”), and the four actors will be transported in Wyler’s 80s zombies theme park film, according to PlayStation Blog.

“Prepare for the roller coaster thrill-ride of your life through the gnarly amusement park of Zombies in Spaceland. Play as one of four classic 1980s archetypes in a radical, action-packed journey through an all-new ‘80s setting with a most excellent soundtrack from the era. The four actors will be the familiar stereotypes of the jock, the nerd, the valley girl and the rapper. Cast members who have been tagged for these roles are Seth Green (“Austin Powers in Goldmember”), Ike Barinholtz (“Suicide Squad”), Sasheer Zamata (“Saturday Night Live”) and Jay Pharoah (“Ride Along”). “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff will also voice a character who will be crucial for the ride.

There’s Fate and Fortune Cards, which will bring in Single match upgrades that aim to enhance the subject’s abilities. Players can build their deck with up to give cards. To get these cards, they would need to earn in in-game by going through and finishing challenges through the story.

There are also Candy Perks, which give players some unique abilities once they are found at several stations scattered in the map. Among the Candy Perks include Slappy Taffy, Bang Bangs and Trail Blazers.
