"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" from Treyarch will be released on Nov. 6. Activision

It has already been confirmed that the Treyarch version of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” will only be released for gamers using PS4, Xbox One, and PC consoles. Now, though, it looks like Wii U players will also be getting their share of the action.

According to KDramaStars, Activision Support may just have teased a version of the game for the Wii U, even if this particular gaming console was not among the platforms that were listed when it was reported that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” was going to come out sometime later this year.

Rumors about this matter first surfaced when one Twitter user asked Treyarch and Activision why fans can connect their Nintendo IDS to the website of “Call of Duty” if the developers did not have something in store for those units. Activision Support simply answered, “Stay tuned for more Wii U releases.”

Express has reported that Treyarch has been pretty direct in refuting claims that they were going to release an Xbox 360 “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” variant sometime soon. The company has reiterated that they are solely focused on developing the game for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 only. This means that any version meant for PS3 and Xbox 360 will have to be made by another studio.

This is where the Dutch online retailer, BOL, comes into play. According to Gamepur, BOL has listed “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” for last-gen consoles and that is going to be out in the market by November 16. This has sparked hope in PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers, but the listing has already been removed. Thankfully, the aforementioned website managed to grab a screen shot of the listing before it was taken down.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” for PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be out on November 6.
