A new trailer has been release for “Call of Duty Black Ops 3” and its upcoming Awakening DLC. Seen below, the trailer features the new map that will be coming with the expansion.

Aptly called “Splash,” the new map is set inside an abandoned water park. Devoid of its usual vacationers and swimmers, the map is a great place to have face-offs with opponents. As it is a water park, it features different areas in the map that give it more texture, such as the Hydro Paradise, the many slides and the rather daunting purple Kraken’s Revenge attraction.

What makes Splash unique as a map is the underwater combats that players can enjoy in multiplayer. While the attractions are not working and the water park is completely abandoned, the wrecked pirate ship and the pools will provide new grounds for tactical fights. GameSpot reported that the Awakening DLC will hit the PS4 first, thanks to Sony and Activision’s new deal for the new COD title.

Activision has previously released a teaser trailer for Skyjacked, which is one of the other three maps coming to Awakening DLC. The other two maps are Rise and Gauntlet. Whether or not “Call of Duty Black Ops 3”: developer Treyarch will release trailers for the other two maps remains to be seen.

While the Xbox One platform will get the Awakening DLC a little later than its PS4 counterpart, there is some bit of good news for Xbox players, if a new sighting is to be believed. Charlie Intel reported that “Call of Duty Black Ops 1” may become available for backward compatibility in the near future.

Microsoft has recently changed its approach when it comes to announcing backward compatible titles for the Xbox One. Even though “Call of Duty Black Ops 1” did not appear in December and January, it might come later on.

The DLC of the game, Annihilation, has been sighted on the Spanish Xbox One store as an available download. While no official announcement has been made to date, it is possible that Microsoft is already in agreement with the publishers on making it available via backwards compatibility.
