"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" has one map that reimagines a favourite from "Call of Duty: World at War." PlayStation Blog

The Eclipse DLC pack for “Call of Duty Black Ops 3” is already out. To get fans up on hype, Activision has released a new trailer to show off the different maps available.

Seen below, the video shows some gameplay shots as well as a few of the environments that players can move around in.

Activision has also rolled out updates for the PS4 in time for the release of the Eclipse DLC. The Update 1.09 is just a little over 1GB, which is quite an addition as it brings support for the different maps and zombie addition to the game.

The entire patch, released over at Activision’s Support Page, lists changes for global, multiplayer and zombies updates. The Eclipse DLC map 2 pack support will bring support for the four maps, Spire, Rift, Knockout and Verge. There will also be support for Zetsubou No Shima, which has been the highlight of several of the teaser trailers released for the expansion.

For those who need reminding, the Zetsubou No Shima chapter will find the characters continuing the mission to nip the zombie apocalypse in the bud. After a storm wrecks their ship, they arrive on a remote Pacific Island, which used to house the Division 9 facility.

This facility used to conduct secret biological research experiments with Element 115 on plants, animals and humans. These, then, make up the horrible and horrific enemies that players will encounter for the latest “Call of Duty Black Ops 3” expansion. According to the publisher, there will be new vehicles, traps and classic Zombies side quests. As seen in an earlier trailer, even choppers were used as innovative weapons.

Developer Treyarch has also conducted some fixes for the multiplayer component. A couple of the fixes involved the Calling Cards, as well as a few issues for exploits, medals, projectiles and the like. Each of the Specialists also got their specific balances, a lot of which involving changes in the earn rate.

While there is still a lot going on with the current lineup of content and Specialists, there is a new rumour that hints at a possible 10th Specialist waiting in the Supply Drops. Charlie Intel reported that the rumour was based on a phone call conversation between one user and one rep for Activision Support.

Allegedly dubbed as Black Jack, the 10th specialist will supposedly have a hack enemy Specialist ability. This will allow the specialist to take abilities and use it himself. There are no announcements or even hints from either Activision or Treyarch yet, so this rumour is still very much unfounded.

It does not help that Supply Drops do not have a good reputation among “Call of Duty Black Ops 3” players. Other shooter titles that offer purchasable packs and bundles usually offer cosmetic items. However, if something as powerful as a hacker Specialist is made exclusive to Supply Drops, some may give it a pay-to-win spin.

Still, fans should note that this is still a rumour for now. Best to take this with a grain of salt until Activision and Treyarch announce more information.
