With September almost coming to a fast close and the release date of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" drawing nearer, fans who are awaiting the upcoming franchise may have another new thing to watch out for. October will be ushering in new in-game gears coming as special promos.

Exclusive gears and customization access will be granted to fans by Mountain Dew and Doritos as early as Oct. 6, reports Daily Game. The new promo "Fuel Up for Battle" will allow gamers to get upgrades using the "Supply Drops" system in "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare."

The promo will bring in double XP unlocks, supply rewards and customization capabilities for every code that you can get from Oct. 6 to Feb. 15, 2015, when it will end. The codes will be found on the Mountain Drew Game Fuel Citrus Chery and Game Fuel Lemonade and the 3.375-ounce, specially-marked bag of Doritos chips. Whether or not the customization and gears will be made available after the promo by other means for players has not been confirmed.

Clan Integration Details For 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare'

Clans will function differently with "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," as Beachhead Studio confirms that cross-network clans will no longer be allowed. According to Charlie Intel, players on the PSN and Xbox Live will need to be in different clans. This is not the same as the mechanics for "Call of Duty: Ghosts," though Beachhead Studios has already confirmed that they will be helping players transition to "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare."

On Sept. 25, cross-network clans will need to select the network that the clan needs to transition to for "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare." The Clan Leader will need to make this decision while the members need to link their accounts to the chosen network so they will be automatically added.

It's best to do these new guidelines because those who are not part of the selected network will not be moved to the new "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" clan. Still, once the app launches, there's still a chance to join a new clan. Check out the link above to see the full set of instructions.
