Infinity Ward will hold a livestream for the new "Call of Duty" game. Infinity Ward

As if the official tease trailer was not enough, developer Infinity Ward has released an homage video, where the team talks about the franchise and its meaning to them as part of the team.

Seen below, the developer discuss how they are planning to create the newest game. Infinity Ward is introducing the team behind what’s happening in the game, and who’s doing who.

“We are innovating, we are taking risks. I see a new level of storytelling coming to this franchise,” said Art Director Brian Horton in the video. “You’re gonna see these characters looking so true to life. That it really becomes people that you could relate to. Characters that you could fall in love with.

Finally, Design Director Jacob Minkoff also hopes that fans will feel that the franchise has changed in terms of innovation with the same positive reception that “Modern Warfare” received. This is a big aim, considering how “Modern Warfare” had been one of the defining moments of “Call of Duty” as a franchise, thanks to its movement away from the World War era settings and into modern-day wars.

A livestream for Infinity Ward’s newest “Call of Duty” title has been scheduled following a teaser trailer. According to IGN, this is scheduled to occur on May 2, 10:30 a.m. PT.

Details about the new game are expected to be released during the livestream, particularly the name of the new game. It seems that the announcement was previously teased via a code that needed to be encoded over at COD Messenger.

This is just one of the teasers that Activision and now developer Infinity Ward have been giving for the new “Call of Duty” title. Earlier, Videogamer has spotted a trademark from Activision, citing “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Speculations have ran amok, with some saying that it could mean a space setting for this year’s game.

Apart from this, there was even a possible premature listing of “Call of Duty: Infinite Wrafare” edition with a Nov. 4 release date tag, Polygon reported. Even more exciting for some PS4 fans, there was also a legacy edition, which includes the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” and a “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered” edition.

For now, however, this is mostly speculation at this point. Fans can look forward to Infinity Ward’s upcoming announcement via the livestream for more details, which will be reported here once they come.
