Singer Bruno Mars has become one of the elite group of men who graced the cover of Playboy magazine.

On its 58 years of publication, there were only nine men to appear on the cover of the magazine and Bruno Mars was the lucky one to snag the tenth spot. Donald Trump, Gene Simmons and Burt Reynolds are among others who have also appeared on the cover.

The "Grenade" singer appears with Miss April, Raquel Pomplun for the Sex and Music magazine issue. Bruno was fully clothed, sporting a 50's era style for the shoot, wearing designer brands like Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs.

The 26-year-old Grammy winner talks about the men who influenced his style and music. Mars grew up in Honolulu to a musical family. He said that while growing up, his parent's favorites heavily influenced him.

"Growing up in the showbiz world, I looked up to those guys Frank Sinatra and, of course, Elvis Presley," says Mars.

"My dad was into the 1950s doo-wop era. If you look at those groups, or at James Brown, Jackie Wilson, and the Temptations in the 1960s, you'll see you had to be sharp onstage."

While those celebrities inspired his style, there was one man who inspired his music. The singer said that he looked up so much on Jimi Hendrix.

"I think he's the greatest guitar player in the world, and I would want to see him do his thing in person," Mars shares on Playboy. "He's the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place."
