A career and a healthy relationship is a tough endeavor to maintain, but not for British tennis ace Andy Murray, who recently revealed how his relationship with Kim Sears has contributed to his success on the tennis court. According to Murray, a happy relationship translates to a flourishing sports career.

Murray is not one of those people who find themselves unequally going after their careers and watch their personal lives die away into the background. The 2013 Wimbledon champion has proven that he can be successful with his career and be completely happy with his personal life. He is able to find and maintain a perfect balance between the two because he is able to live without distractions from his personal life.

Murray said via UK’s Daily and Sunday Express that it helps his tennis when everything is going well in his personal life. He hinted that he doesn’t have to go through the usual emotional rollercoaster ride when he is away from the tour. Without such distractions, Murray can easily focus on his career and win tournaments.

“It (relationship) is not distracting you,” the British World No. 3 said. “You are not always worrying about what’s happening back home or anything like that.”

Murray is set to compete next at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships. He won the title in 2013, making him the first British player to win at the All England Club in 77 years. It was Murray’s second grand slam title, having won his first the previous year at the US Open.

The Scot is seeded third at Wimbledon. He could face two-time champion Rafael Nadal, who received a 10th-place seeding, in the fourth round. Should he progress in the tournament, he could face either Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer in the last four.

Can Murray take home the trophy this year? Murray will go to the All England Club at SW19 in fine form after claiming title at the Mutua Madrid Open against Nadal and just recently after his fourth title in the grasscourt event at the Aegon Championships. Will Murray be able to continue his strong performance this season?
